The College of Basic and Applied Sciences has organized a two-day workshop on writing skills for some selected administrative staff from the various units of the College from 26th – 27th August 2015 and  2nd – 3rd of September, 2015 at the Basement of the Great Hall, University of Ghana

Opening the workshop, the provost, Prof Ebenezer O. Owusu informed participants that as part of efforts to improve upon the human capital of administrative staff in the College, the purpose of the workshop is to sharpen their writing skills.

This he said was to breach the gap between faculty and administrative staff since both work hand in hand. He urged participants to take the training seriously in order to gain the requisite knowledge and skills. He promised to organize more training for both faculty and administrative staff.

The Resource persons were drawn from the Carnegie Writing Center and the Department of English. They were Prof Helen Yitah (Team Lead), Prof A.B.K. Dadzie, Dr. Jemima Anderson and Dr. Charles Asante.

In all, about 42 administrative staff from the various units of the College participated in the workshop.
